Boys AAU Basketball

A Message from the President:
On behalf of Mtn Home Youth Sports Basketball, I want to say thank you to all the
people who came out and supported and volunteered at the basketball tournament that
was held here in Mountain Home on February 25th and 26th. Mountain Home Youth
Sports hosted over 20 different youth basketball teams from around the state with over
600 fans showing up over the two day period to cheer their teams on. Without the
support of all the school officials (Mr. Johnson, Mr. Clark, Mrs. Cruiser, Mr. Longhurst,
Mr. Bothen and the custodial staff) and the many volunteers (Mrs. Bitterman, the
Cameron family, the Lee family, the Bonnie family, Mrs. Moore, Mr. Woodruff, Mr.
Hutchins and the numerous other volunteers and airmen from MHAFB) that showed up
throughout the day, our tournament would not have been a success. Thank you also to
all the parents and members of the local community that came out and cheered for all our
young athletes as they competed against the best youth basketball teams in the state.
I want to give a special thanks to all the members of the Western Elmore County
Recreation District for all the help, time and effort you have provided throughout the
year. The WECRD’s part in helping us get the information out to the community allowed
more kids to participate in youth basketball. The “Let’s Play” grants provided by the
WECRD have been instrumental in not only helping build a strong foundation for youth
basketball, but all the youth sports that participated. Thank you very much, couldn’t have
done it with you!
