Mtn Home Parks & Rec

Mtn. Home has a fantastic Parks and Recreation Department that schedules lots of recreation activities and learning classes throughout the year. Every winter they partner with Soldier Mountain Ski area for ski packages for kids in the Mtn Home area. They also have bus transportation to and from the resort. Not only do they offer seasonal passes with area recreational resorts, they also sponsor group exercise classes and sports training.

Just a small sampling of events they have offered or will offer for 2010 are Little Man Wrestling, Speed and Agility classes, Tae Bo, Jazzercize, Yoga and Zumba classes, Girl’s and Boy’s Basketball, Scrapbooking for Kids, computer training and Holiday Craftmaking .

Parks and Rec. has also partnered with Hacker Middle School to use the schools hallways for walking and running. Starting from November 2010 to March 2011, the halls will be available from Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
